LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) – The Rebel track & field team won 10 events and recorded 26 top-eight finishes at its own UNLV Spring Opener at Myron Partridge Stadium & Sheila Tarr-Smith Field Saturday.
Jonon Young led the Scarlet & Gray with victories in both the long jump and triple jump, with her mark in the latter ranking as the second-best performance in the program's outdoor record book. Additionally,
Gaby Palmer rewrote the program's pole vault record for the second time this season.
Young's marks in the long jump (20-3.75/6.19m) and triple jump (43-8.5/13.32) were both personal bests. She now only trails Billie Butler's distance of 43-11.25, achieved in 1992, for first in the all-time performance list.
Palmer notched a first-place height of 12-11.75 (3.96m) in the pole vault to surpass her mark of 12-0 (3.66m) which she recorded at the UNLV Winter Challenge on Feb. 13, surpassing Charlotte McGee's 11-4.25 from 2000.

Cassondra Hall in the 200m (23.47), Amari Prude in the 400m (55.92),
Alia Scott in the 400m hurdles (1:01.07 PB),
