COLORADO SPRINGS, CO (UNLVRebels.com) – The UNLV men's tennis team got back in the win column Sunday with a 4-3 victory over Air Force at the Academy's outdoor courts.
 
The Rebels improved to 9-10 overall and 3-1 in league play while the Falcons fell to 8-9 and 1-3.
 
The hosts dominated doubles play to take a 1-0 lead. That meant UNLV needed to win four of six singles matches and did just that, earning victories on courts 1-4 to fend off the Falcons.
 
REBEL OF THE MATCH: Eric Samuelsson was tied in doubles when his match was halted and then in singles with the score tied at 3, got by Robert Baylon to post the clinching point, 6-2, 4-6, 6-2, on court two.
  
QUOTABLE: "Air Force had all the momentum after playing great in doubles. However, Alex Kobelt's quick win at No. 1 helped us get settled in singles where everyone else had their hands full. After we went ahead 3-1, they came back hard until Eric came through clutch to get the win. We always have a lot of respect for Air Force as a team and what they do as part of the armed forces."

NEXT FOR THE REBELS: UNLV returns home to host UNR Friday for the annual in-state rivalry as part of the Silver State Series presented by IBEW and Nevada Donor Network.
