LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) – The UNLV women's tennis program has received a signed commitment from Salsa Aher to join the Rebels starting with the 2021-22 season, head coach Kevin Cory announced Tuesday.

Aher is a transfer from the University of Kentucky with three years of eligibility remaining. The native of Pune, India, is 6-1 in singles and 7-0 in doubles play this spring for the Wildcats, who are currently ranked No. 23 in the nation.
Â
"We are thrilled to welcome Salsa to UNLV and feel she will make an immediate impact in our lineup next season," Cory said. "She has a lot of experience and comes to us from a nationally ranked program in the SEC."
Â
Prior to college, Aher's highest ITF Juniors ranking was 186. She competed in the 2019 Junior Australian Open and played in the 2017 Junior Fed Cup for India as well as the 2017 WTA Future Stars held in Singapore.
