LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) - Senior
Samantha Fuller will represent UNLV women's golf at this year's NCAA Regionals, competing as an individual at the Stanford Regional, May 10-12, the NCAA announced Wednesday. The 2021 NCAA Women's Golf Championships will feature four regional sites - Baton Rouge, Columbus, Louisville and Stanford - with 18 teams and six individuals playing at each site.
Fuller was selected as the top individual participating at the Stanford Regional after ending the season ranked No. 70 in Golfstat's Individual Rankings. After being unable to play in last week's Mountain West Championship, Fuller will now be able to finish out her career playing in the NCAA postseason. The Surrey, England, native has turned in a strong senior campaign, finishing in the top-12 in all four tournaments she competed in this spring, shooting par or better in eight of 12 rounds. The senior also collected 36 birdies over the 12 rounds and matched her single-round career low of 3-under 69 in the final round of the Arizona Wildcat tournament in March.
A total of 384 participants have been selected for regional competition. Of these players, 132 will advance to the championships finals with six teams and three individuals advancing from each regional. The national championships will be May 21-26 at Grayhawk Golf Club in Scottsdale, Ariz. hosted by Arizona State and The Thunderbirds. The final three days of the championships will be televised live by the GOLF Channel.
