NAPA, California (UNLVRebels.com) - After a two-week hiatus the UNLV women's golf team will be back in action this week at the Silverado Showdown in Napa, California, April 5-7. The three-day tournament is co-hosted by Colorado and Oregon and will take place on a Par 72 6,192-yard course at the Silverado Resort.

This is the third straight season the Rebels will compete in the event (the 2020 tournament was canceled) and the fourth time overall. One round will be played each day tee times beginning at 8 a.m. on Monday and Tuesday morning and a shotgun start on Wednesday morning at 8 a.m. for the final round.

In their last outing at the Mountain View Invitational in Tucson, the Rebels finished in a tie for seventh at 21-over 885. Senior Samantha Fuller continued her stellar final campaign with her fourth top-12 finish in as many tournaments she has played this spring. The Surrey, England, native finished in a tie for ninth at 2-under 214 at the event and has shot par or better in eight of the 12 rounds she's competed in this season.

Over the last two tournaments, UNLV has single-round team scores of 5-under and 3-under - their two lowest rounds of the spring - but will be challenged by a strong field in Napa.

The Rebels will have one final regular season tournament, New Mexico's Dick McGuire/Branch Law Firm April 11-12, before the 2021 Mountain West Championship in Rancho Mirage, CA, set for April 20-21.

THE FIELD: The 2021 Silverado Showdown field includes No. 8 Arizona State, California, Iowa State, Northwestern, No. 13 Oregon, Oregon State, San Diego State, San Jose State, Washington, Washington State, UCLA, UNLV and No. 11 USC.

THE LINEUP: The UNLV lineup at the showdown will be senior Samantha Fuller, sophomore Elina Saksa, freshman Madeleine Laux, freshman Gracie Olkowski and junior Veronica Joels.
