Box Score LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) – The UNLV women's soccer team was unable to come away with a victory on the opening weekend of Mountain West play, dropping Sunday's match to Utah State 2-0 at Peter Johann Memorial Field.
The result moved the Rebels to 7-4 overall and 0-2 in league contests.
Despite controlling much of the match and out-shooting the visiting Aggies 12-4, UNLV couldn't break through with a goal, while USU converted two of its four shots into scores. The Aggies scored just over 21 minutes into the first half and the game remained at 1-0 until USU added an insurance goal in the 87th minute for the final margin.

Lourdes Bosch tallied a team-high four shots on the day, followed by fellow juniors
Jules Dominguez with three and
Kaitlyn Kowalchuk with two.
The Rebels will head out on the road to Colorado next weekend, playing at Air Force on Friday at 6 p.m. and Colorado College on Sunday at 12 p.m.
