Men's Golf To Open Spring Season Monday On Golf Channel

Southwestern Invitational, hosted by Pepperdine, to be televised nationally.

LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) - The UNLV men's golf team will open the spring season on Monday, Jan. 24 at the Southwestern Invitational, which will be hosted by Pepperdine at North Ranch Country Club (par 72, 6,992 yards) in Westlake Village, California.

TV COVERAGE: The Golf Channel will air College Central from 1-1:30 p.m. PT, and then provide live coverage from 1:30-4:30 p.m. PT each day.

THE FIELD: In addition to UNLV, competing teams include Arizona State, Georgia, Pepperdine, San Diego State, San Jose State, SMU, Texas, UCLA, USC, Wake Forest and Washington.

UNLV LINEUP: Competing for the Rebels will be sophomore Caden Fioroni, senior David Rauch, junior George Leigh, sophomore Ben Sawaia and senior JJ Gresco.

SCHEDULE: The tournament will be held Monday-Wednesday, Jan. 24-26. Following Sunday's practice round, 18 holes will be played each day with tee times beginning at 8 a.m.
