LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) – No less than 27 current and former UNLV student-athletes were eligible to take part in this week's annual Winter Commencement Ceremonies at the Thomas & Mack Center.
 
Masters and doctoral grads took part in their ceremony on Monday and undergraduates will be recognized this afternoon by UNLV President Keith E. Whitfield.
 
As part of the celebration, the UNLV Athletics Department hosted its annual Senior Send-Off reception for graduates and their families Tuesday morning at the Thomas & Mack Center.
 
Some of the 2,000 Class of 2022 winter graduates have remaining eligibility and will compete for their respective teams again next season while pursuing either a master's or second bachelor's degree.
 
The class ranges in age from 19 to 75 and is made up of graduates from 36 states and 40 countries. Many are the first in their family to graduate from college and well over half – 70 percent – are from ethnically diverse backgrounds. Since 1964, UNLV has awarded about 165,000 degrees.
