LUBBOCK, TX (UNLVRebels.com) – The UNLV track & field team wrapped up the final day of the Texas Tech Shootout with four top-20 finishes. The two-day indoor track competition was held in the Sports Performance Center in Lubbock, Texas on the campus of Texas Tech Shootout.
Alia Scott finished eighth in the B section of the women's 200m with a time of 25.14 and Aja Melo-Powell finished 29th with a personal best of 26.10. Lexy Osterkamp took ninth in the 3000m with a personal best of 11:09.84, followed by Alexys Arroyo in 14th (12:03.05).Â
Jasmine Perez finished 25th in the women's 600y with a time of 1:36.59. Rebecca Green finished 35th in the mile with a 5:49.16, followed closely behind by Stephanie Zamora in 36th with a 5:49.32. AnnaKay Maitland took 30th in the women's 200m with a 25.19, followed by Karoli Kaart in 31st (25.20). The 4x400 relay with Scott, Emma Wahlenmaier, Taylor Shorter and Elisa Rovere finished 11th with a time of 3:49.40.
NEXT TIME OUT: The Rebels will hit the road Friday, February 18 to Flagstaff, Ariz., for the NAU Tune Up. This will be their final competition before the 2022 MW Indoor Championships February 24-26 in Albuquerque, N.M.
