COLORADO SPRINGS, CO (UNLVRebels.com) - UNLV women's golf freshman Kendall Todd has been named the first Mountain West Women's Golf Freshman Of The Week for the spring, the conference office announced Thursday. Todd is the second Rebel to earn a league honor in 2021-22 as fellow freshman Sydney Bryan garnered the MW Women's Golf Freshman of the Month nod for October.

Todd finished runner-up at the Rebels' home tournament, The Show, this week in Las Vegas to open the spring slate.  The Goodyear, Arizona, native, carded the best single-round (5-under 67, first round) score and best 54-hole score (2-under 214) of her young career to finish one shot out of first place. Todd sank 13 birdies - tied for best at the event - en route to her highest tournament finish at UNLV. Her performance also helped the Rebels capture the team title, their third in the last four events dating back to fall competition.

UNLV has a weekend off before heading to Peoria, Arizona, for Wisconsin's Westbrook Invite, Feb. 27-18.
