Rebels Conclude Day One Of MW Championships

CLOVIS, Calif. (UNLVRebels.com) – The Rebels concluded day one of the 2022 Mountain West Outdoor Championships after a hot start from junior Rachel Seeley in the women's heptathlon. The 2022 MW Championships will be held from Wednesday to Saturday at the Veteran's Memorial Stadium.

Seeley, the Madison, Alabama native, recorded a personal best in every event completed after day one of the women's heptathlon. Rachel recorded a 14.95 in the 100m hurdles, a 1.53 (5-00.25") mark in the high jump, a 9.76m (32-00.25") throw in shot put and a 25.44 in the 200m run.

Sophomore Julia Nixon completed day one for the women's heptathlon with a time of 16.50 in the 100m hurdles, a 1.38m (4-06.25") mark in the high jump, completed the shot put with a 7.00m (22-11.75") and recorded a 29.50 in the 200m run.

The Rebels will continue their 2022 MW Championship campaign Thursday afternoon at 3:30 p.m., with the remaining events of the women's heptathlon, the long jump, javelin and 800m run. Followed by the women's 10,000m finals beginning at 9:30 p.m.

Friday will begin with the women's long jump at 3 p.m. and conclude with the women's steeplechase at 8:10 p.m. Saturday's events will begin at 2 p.m. with the women's discus and conclude at 8:45 p.m. with the women's 4x400 relay.
