LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) — Enjoy free food, snap a photo with your favorite Lady Rebel and watch them on the court.
Join UNLV women's basketball for a Preseason Carnival and open practice Saturday, Oct. 29.
"Las Vegas is the focal point for women's basketball right now," UNLV Head Coach
Lindy La Rocque said, "and we're going to continue the momentum into the fall.
"We want to invite everyone to enjoy a party on us and then come watch how we work as we enter the new season."
Begin the festivities by playing carnival games against your favorite Lady Rebel at 12 p.m. in front of the Thomas & Mack Center. Free food and drinks will be provided for the first 250 fans.
The Lady Rebels' practice begins at 1 p.m. in the Cox Pavilion. Fans who have purchased season tickets can claim their official Lady Rebels replica jerseys at this time.
La Rocque and her assistants will guide onlookers through the team's drills. The team will hand out the afternoon's practice plan to illustrate the steps they are taking to defend its Mountain West Conference Championship in 2023.
The Lady Rebels begin their season Wednesday, Nov. 2, with an exhibition game versus Chico State at 6:30 p.m. An additional seven straight home games kick off the regular season, giving Las Vegas residents ample opportunity to cheer on their hometown champions.
