SATURDAY'S PREVIEW...
Riding its first four-game win streak since 2013 and its best record through six games since 1984, UNLV (5-1/2-0) returns for Homecoming on Saturday afternoon vs. Colorado State (3-3/1-1) ...  The game will be shown in Southern Nevada via the Silver State Sports & Entertainment Network (SSSEN), which can be viewed on Cox channel 125 or over the air at 5.2 ... UNLV, which is receiving votes in the AFCA Coaches Poll, is 26-28 all-time in Homecoming games and is looking to earn its first win in the traditional event since downing Fresno State in 2016 ... The Rebels come in having won back-to-back trophy games, retaining the famed Fremont Cannon with Saturday's 45-27 win at UNR after downing Hawai'i, 44-20, on September 30 to bring home the beloved Golden Pineapple ... The Rams, meanwhile, overcame a 20-point deficit in the final four minutes to stun Boise State 31-30 on Saturday ... The last time UNLV was 5-1 was 39 years ago when Randall Cunningham lined up at quarterback ... Barry Odom is the first UNLV head coach to win five of his first six games at the school since Tony Knap started 5-1 in 1976 when the program was on the D-II level ... Odom is also just the second Rebel coach to win his first two conference games since the program first joined a league in 1982 (Jeff Horton in 1994 as part of the Big West) ... The Rebels have set program records for 40+point games for both consecutive outings (four) and in a season (five) ... UNLV's 21 rushing touchdowns trail only Air Force (24) for the national lead ... The Rebels scored during their first 15 trips inside the red zone this season before being intercepted in the third quarter at UTEP, but still lead the MW and are tied for fifth in the nation with a success rate of 96.2% (25-of-26). 

REBELS vs. RAMS NOTES... 
Colorado State is one of just two Mountain West members to have not played inside Allegiant Stadium (Boise State) ... It has been four years since the Rebels and Rams have faced each other as their last scheduled matchup in Fort Collins in 2020 was canceled three days before kickoff because of positive Covid-19 tests ... CSU leads the all-time series 17-6-1 and has won four straight against the Rebels ... First-year UNLV DL coach Ricky Logo oversaw that same position group at CSU from 2015-17 ... UNLV has two players on its roster from the Centennial State, both freshmen: TE Charlie Williams (Aspen HS) and DL Matthew Greene (Centennial HS) ... Second-year CSU head coach Jay Norvell finished 3-2 vs. UNLV while leading UNR from 2017-21.
