SALT LAKE CITY (UNLVRebels.com) – UNLV's top doubles team ended its run Saturday during the semifinal round at the 2023 Intercollegiate Tennis Association Mountain Region Women's Championships hosted by the University of Utah.
 
Members from 19 western teams are facing off each day in singles and doubles at the Eccles Tennis Center.
 
Fourth-seeded Salsa Aher and Zita Kovacs lost to seventh-seeded Andrea Beltran and Britt Pursell of Denver, 6-1, 6-3.
 
In consolation play, UNLV turned in two doubles wins and split six singles matches.
 
More than 8,000 student-athletes from NCAA Division I, II, III, NAIA, Junior and Community Colleges compete across 85 ITA Regional Championships around the country. In Division I, regional doubles champions and regional singles champions and finalists qualify for the season-ending ITA National Fall Championships.
