LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) - UNLV football senior kicker Jose Pizano has been named the Raising Cane's Outstanding Rebel of the Week, the school announced Tuesday.

The award goes to the student-athlete who turned in the best individual performance during the previous week of competition from Monday through Sunday as voted on by the UNLV Athletics Strategic Communications department.

A Lehi, Utah native, Pizano scored 14 total points in the win over Hawai'i, making all three of his field goals and five extra points attempted. Among those kicks, he connected on a career-long 52-yarder that tied for the 9th-longest in school history.

Pizano is tied for the national lead in field goals made with 11 and second in the nation in field-goal percentage at 92%.
