McKenzi Hall and graduate student
Maria Fernanda Martinez each shot even par in Saturday's second round to lead UNLV women's golf in the individual top 20 at Denver's Ron Moore Intercollegiate at Highlands Ranch Golf Club (Par 72 - 6,648 yards).
Hall finds herself in a tie for 15th at 2-under through 36 holes, while Martinez is tied for 19th at 1-under. The Rebel duo combined for five birdies as Hall notched her two on the back nine and Martinez ended her round with three.
Following the Scarlet & Gray leaders are sophomore
Thienna Huynh (+1) in a tie for 31st, graduate student
Maria Jose Martinez (+2) in a tie for 39th and junior
Mayumi Umezu (+9) in a tie for 67th. As a team, the Rebels broke even for the tournament and head into the final round looking to move up from their eighth-place position.
Maintaining their first-place spot in the team standings, the host Pioneers (-26) extended their lead to 13 shots over Cal (-13) in second place. Denver's Anna Zannuso and Emma Bryant also held onto the individual lead at 9-under for the tournament.
