LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) - UNLV women's soccer freshman Trinity Buchanan has been named the Raising Cane's Outstanding Rebel of the Week, the school announced Wednesday.

The award goes to the student-athlete who turned in the best individual performance during the previous week of competition from Monday through Sunday as voted on by the UNLV Athletics Strategic Communications department.

A Coronado High School graduate, Buchanan helped guide the Rebels to a 1-0 win on the road over in-state rival UNR with the game-winning goal in the 64th minute. This marked the second consecutive season the UNLV women's soccer team claimed three points in the Silver State Series and the second win alongside UNLV football on the Wold Pack's home turf.
