LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) – The UNLV men's and women's swimming and diving teams will welcome BYU and Utah for a pair of duals on home-opening weekend Friday-Saturday, Nov. 3-4 at Jim Reitz Pool.

The Rebels will take on the Cougars Friday, with the diving events starting at 11 a.m. PT and swimming events at 1 p.m. PT. They then face the Utes in Saturday's meet beginning with the swim competition at noon PT,  followed by the diving events at 3 p.m. PT.

Fans can follow the event via livestream on the UNLV Athletics YouTube channel, as well as the live results link here or on the MeetMobile app. Results for the Rebels can be tracked on UNLVRebels.com at the end of each day.

LAST TIME OUT: On the women's side, the Scarlet & Gray came away with nine top-3 finishes in its season opener against No. 1 Arizona State, including wins by divers Vika Yanovska (3-meter) and Chelsey Dorosh (1-meter). The Scarlet & Gray men notched six top-3 finishes in its season-opening meet vs. the No. 1 Sun Devil men that included junior Adnan Beji's first-place sweep of the 100 breast and 200 breast.

REBELS IN THE NATIONAL POLLS: UNLV men's swimming and diving appeared among the teams receiving votes in the 2023 Preseason College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) Division I Top-25 poll released on Oct. 12. Out of 32 teams that received votes, the Rebel men's squad ranks 29th on that list with eight points.

UNLV INDIVIDUALS AMONG THE NATION'S BEST: The Rebels have several individual marks that rank among the top-25 fastest on the NCAA top-times chart this season. Headlining those are Beji at seventh in the 200 breast (1:56.05) and eighth in the 100 breast (52.98), junior Bryson Huey at ninth in the 50 free (19.60), senior Blanka Bokros at 12th in the 200 fly (1:57.09), as well as senior George Ratiu at 15th in the 100 free (43.21) and 18th in the 50 free (19.78). Rounding out those marks are sophomore Erika Carlson's 23rd-ranked 500 free (4:49.20) and freshman Wikus Potgieter's 25th-ranked 100 back (47.04).

REBEL RELAYS ON NCAA TOP-TIMES LISTS: Along with their individual national rankings, the Rebels have three relay times that sit among the NCAA top-25 marks on the year. Among those are the UNLV men's 400 medley relay (3:09.43) team in seventh, men's 200 free relay (1:19.54) quartet in 10th, and women's 400 medley relay (3:41.89) squad in 25th.

SERIES MATCHUPS: In the matchup with BYU, the Scarlet & Gray women's team earned a victory last season against the Cougars, while the men dropped their contest in Provo, Utah, at the Richards Building Pool. Meanwhile, the Rebel men and women look to avenge last year's defeat to the Utes in Salt Lake City at Ute Natatorium.
