Scott Leads Rebels During Day Two Of Texas Relays

AUSTIN, Texas (UNLVRebels.com) – The UNLV track & field program wrapped up day two of the 95th Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays with a hot start from senior Alia Scott in the women's 400m hurdles timed finals. 

The four-day meet is being contested at the Mike A. Myers Stadium and Soccer Field on the campus of University of Texas. The Scarlet & Gray are competing against 13 top-25 universities, including No. 1 LSU, No. 8 Ole Miss and No. 9 Auburn, as well as Mountain West foes New Mexico and Utah State. 

ON THE TRACK
- Scott ran a career best in the women's 400m hurdles timed finals event with a time of 59.68. The California native was competing against 95 other athletes and finished fourth overall and second in her heat. 

UP NEXT: The Rebels will continue the Texas Relays Friday morning at 9:30 a.m. (PT) with the women's javelin event. The meet will conclude Saturday afternoon with the women's 4x400m relay.
