LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) – After a strong finish to the regular season, the UNLV women's golf team will hit the course this week in Rancho Mirage, California, at the 2023 Mountain West Championship set to take place Tuesday-Thursday, April 18-20. The three-day, 54-hole event will be held on the Dinah Shore Tournament Course at Mission Hills Country Club (Par 72, 6,252 yards).
Entering the tournament, the Rebels rank third in the MW at No. 53 on the Golfstat national rankings. The league's top-ranked team is No. 10 San Jose State, with New Mexico following in second at No. 43 on that list.
The Scarlet & Gray is coming off a season-best finish of second place at the Wyoming Cowgirl Classic, marking the sixth straight event the squad finished sixth place or higher. During that stretch, UNLV has recorded an under-par team score in six of its last eight rounds.
