LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) – Nearly 70 current and former UNLV student-athletes are eligible to take part in this weekend's annual Spring Commencement Ceremonies at the Thomas & Mack Center.
 
Masters and doctoral grads are taking part in their ceremony later today while undergraduates will be recognized in two ceremonies on Saturday – all led by UNLV President Keith E. Whitfield.
 
As part of the celebration, the UNLV Athletics Department hosted its annual Senior Send-Off reception for graduates and their families Friday morning at the Thomas & Mack Center.
 
Some of the 3,500 Class of 2023 spring graduates have remaining eligibility and will compete for their respective teams again next season while pursuing either a master's or second bachelor's degree.
 
The UNLV class ranges in age from 18 to 76 and is made up of graduates from 39 states and 50 countries. Many are the first in their family to graduate from college and well over half – 66 percent – are from ethnically diverse backgrounds. Since 1964, UNLV has awarded about 169,000 degrees.
