LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) – The UNLV men's golf program has received a signed commitment from Cincinnati transfer Wyatt Plattner to join the Rebels in the fall, head coach Jean-Paul Hebert announced Thursday.
"We're excited about Wyatt becoming a member of our proud Rebel golf family," said Hebert. "His playing record, along with his passion for competitive golf, will add up to make an impact on our team this year and in the years to come."
Originally from Sarasota, Florida, Plattner posted three top-30 finishes last season as a freshman with the Bearcats, including a tie for seventh at the Bank of Tennessee Intercollegiate. Additionally, he helped UC make its first NCAA Regional appearance in program history at the Las Vegas Regional.
During the 2022-23 campaign, Plattner shot under par in three tournaments, carding a season-low 7-under 209 in two of those. He finished the year with a low round of 6-under 66 and a 73.30 scoring average.
A 2022 AJGA Rolex All-American, Plattner won two junior golf events before beginning his collegiate career. Those victories came at the AJGA Southern Junior Championship and the Florida Junior Amateur Championship in the summer of 2022.
