LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) – The UNLV women's tennis team completed a clean sweep this weekend by way of Sunday's 4-0 win over Kansas City on a spring-like day at the Fertitta Tennis Complex.
 
The Rebels won their sixth straight outing in just two hours to improve to 6-2 while the Roos fell to 1-5. UNLV posted three shutouts to take its trio of matches by a combined score of 15-0.
 
UNLV won both completed doubles matches to earn a 1-0 lead. Zita Kovacs and Hanna Vinahradava won 6-2 at the top of the lineup and Salsa Aher and Aura Fang won 6-1 on court three.
 
The top half of the lineup made quick work of the opposition in singles play.
 
Kovacs swept Joana Cardona, 6-1, 6-0, at No. 1; Aher blanked Catherine Chrobak, 6-0, 6-0, at No. 2; and Cindy Hu downed Laura Munoz-Baroja, 6-3, 6-1, on court three to clinch things.
 
REBEL OF THE MATCH: Zita Kovacs won her doubles match at No.1 and then rolled past her opponent at the top of the singles lineup.

UP NEXT: UNLV is off until hosting Rice on March 1 starting with doubles play at 10 a.m. Admission to all matches at the Fertitta Tennis Complex is free of admission.
