COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (UNLVRebels.com) – UNLV women's tennis evened its Mountain West record with a 4-1 win at Air Force on Sunday morning at the USAF Cadet Gym.

Playing indoors because of plenty of St. Patrick's Day snow on the ground outside, the Rebels improved to 7-5 overall and 1-1 in league play while the Falcons fell to 1-9 (0-2).

The visitors took two of three doubles matches to earn one team point. Cindy Hu and Coco Zhao won 6-3 at the No. 2 spot after Aura Fang and Salsa Aher prevailed 6-2 on court three.

In singles, the Rebels won at every match at the top half of the lineup to end things. Zita Kovacs rallied past Arianna Van Houlweli, 3-6, 6-3, 7-5, at the top; Aher also came back to down Nadia Kojonroj, 3-6, 6-2, 6-2, at No. 2; and Hu swept Alexis Odom, 6-1, 6-1, at the third spot.

REBEL OF THE MATCH: Cindy Hu was efficiently impressive in both singles and doubles, teaming with Zhao and then being the first off the courts with a quick straight-set singles triumph.

UP NEXT: UNLV returns home for its final non-conference match of the season, hosting Utah Tech on Wednesday starting at 11 a.m. Admission to all matches at the Fertitta Tennis Complex is free of charge.
