LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) – The UNLV women's tennis team saw its four-match win streak snapped, 4-3, on Sunday morning at the Fertitta Tennis Complex.
 
In a match that was originally started Saturday before rains forced a suspension of the action, the Rebels fell to 10-6 overall and 3-2 in Mountain West play while the Cowgirls improved to 12-8 and 3-2.
 
Wyoming entered Easter with a 1-0 lead after winning the doubles point a day earlier with wins on the top two courts. Singles started differently, however, as UNLV won the first set on five of six courts and lost the other in a tiebreaker.
 
The Rebels got wins from Nikol Mircheva, 6-1, 7-5, over Nikol Dobrilova at the fifth position and Cindy Hu, 6-4, 6-3, over Violetta Borodina at No. 3 to briefly take the lead.
 
Half of the matches would go to three sets, which allowed the 'Pokes to rally. Aura Fang won her tilt, 6-2, 4-6, 6-1, on court six but the visitors came back to win on the top two courts to clinch her team's rare victory in Las Vegas.
 
UP NEXT: UNLV will play its next three matches on the road, starting with a trip to Utah State on Friday.
