LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) – A program-record eight UNLV players were announced this week as members of the 2024 National Football Foundation Hampshire Honor Society.

Among Mountain West schools, only Wyoming had more honorees than the Rebels.

The 2024 members from UNLV were defensive lineman Naki Fahina, long snapper Walker Hardan, running back Donavyn Lester, wide receiver Senika McKie, All-American placekicker Jose Pizano, safety Jaxen Turner, defensive back Kris Williams and tight end Shelton Zeon III.

An elite group of 1,991 players from 340 schools qualified for membership in 2024, also setting a national record for the number of members in a single year during the program's 18-year history. The initiative has now honored 18,389 student-athletes since its inception.

Qualifications for membership in the NFF Hampshire Honor Society include holding a 3.2 grade point average and being a starter or significant contributor in the last year of eligibility at an NCAA FBS, FCS, Division I, Division II, Division III or an NAIA college or university. Also included were graduated players who may return for another year of competition.
