FORT COLLINS, Colo. (UNLVRebels.com) – UNLV women's soccer saw its unbeaten start to MW play end Sunday with a 1-0 defeat to Colorado State at CSU Soccer Field.

The Rebels (3-7-3, 1-1-2 MW) threatened to score in the second half, but ultimately fell short of a response to an 18th-minute CSU (7-2-2, 1-1-1 MW) goal.

Among the Scarlet & Gray late opportunities, freshman Scarlette Druian's 50th-minute strike from atop the 18 and freshman Julia Salem's shot attempt in the 76th minute resulted in close stops by the Rams' backline.

UP NEXT: UNLV will look to rebound at home vs. San Diego State at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 9. A tailgate with free food and drinks provided by the UNLV Rebel Soccer Foundation will kick off the night.
