SATURDAY'S PREVIEW...
Undefeated UNLV (5-0/1-0), which continued to receive votes in both the AP and Coaches' polls, returns to Allegiant Stadium after five weeks to host Air Force (1-4/0-3) on Saturday afternoon ... The 35 days between playing UCLA and Air Force ties for the second-longest time period between home games in school history. The 1991 Rebels went the same amount of time while the 1982 squad waited 37 days between home dates ... The Rebels are 5-0 for the first time since 1974 when the program started 11-0 ... UNLV is one of just 15 undefeated teams remaining in the FBS ... As part of Homecoming, UNLV's 2000 Las Vegas Bowl Championship squad will be honored on the field in its 25th anniversary year ... The Rebels defeated every non-conference opponent on their schedule for the first time since joining a league in 1982 ... Head coach Dan Mullen's team is coming off a 31-17 win at Wyoming that kicked off MW play ... Mullen is the first UNLV coach to begin his career in Las Vegas 5-0 since the program's inaugural season of 1968 when original coach Bill Ireland started 8-0 on the Division II level ...UNLV is currently tied for second nationally for the most interceptions in the nation with nine and Rebel DB Aamaris Brown leads the country with 1.0 interceptions per game after posting a pick in a school-record four straight games ... UNLV is tied with La Tech for the most overall turnovers gained with 13 and is tied for second nationally in turnover margin at plus-eight ... Since falling 35-7 at eventual national champion Michigan in the second game of 2023, UNLV has scored at least 20 points in each of its last 27 regular-season games. That's the second-longest active such streak in the FBS, behind only Memphis (43 straight) ... The Rebels have also scored at least 30 points in their first five games of a season for the first time in program history.  

REBELS vs. FALCONS NOTES... 
In a series that dates back to 1981, Air Force leads 18-7 but the Rebels took the most recent meeting in 2023 in Colorado Springs ... In this high-flying series the winning team has averaged 38 points and never scored less than 24 ... AFA is the only service academy team the Rebels have ever met on the football field ... AFA has won three straight at UNLV with the last Rebel win over the Falcons in Las Vegas coming in 2012 at Sam Boyd Stadium ... This marks only the second visit the Falcons have made to Allegiant Stadium, which opened in 2020.
