UNLV (8-2/4-2) will play its final home game of the regular-season by welcoming Hawai'i (7-3/4-2) on Friday night in the annual Ninth Island Showdown sponsored by The California Hotel ... This marks the only back-to-back home games of the season for the Rebels, who will honor their group of seniors before kickoff ... UNLV is 14-16-1 all-time on Fridays, including a win at Sam Houston in August ... UNLV has now received at least one vote in either the AP or Coaches' poll for the 31st time in the last 32 polls ... The Rebs have earned bowl-eligibility for the third straight season for the first time ever and have eight wins in the first 10 games for the third consecutive season ... UNLV leads all of college football with 10 road wins since the start of last season and are tied for the ninth-most wins in the FBS since the start of the 2024 season ... Head coach Dan Mullen was the first UNLV coach to begin his career in Las Vegas 6-0 since the program's inaugural season of 1968 when original coach Bill Ireland started 8-0 on the Division II level ... UNLV is tied for 19th overall in turnover margin at plus-7 and 12th for interceptions brought in with 12 and eighth with three defensive touchdowns ... Since falling 35-7 at eventual national champion Michigan in the second game of 2023, UNLV has scored at least 20 points in each of its last 32 regular-season games. That's the second-longest active such streak in the FBS, behind only Memphis (47 straight).

REBELS vs. RAINBOW WARRIORS NOTES... 
Hawai'i leads the overall series 19-15 but the Rebels have won 12 of the last 21 meetings, including the last two ... The home team has won this matchup in 13 of the last 16 years with only UNLV's 2016 and '24 wins in Honolulu and UH's 2019 win in Las Vegas bucking the trend ... Seven of the last 12 games have been decided by one score ... Among FBS teams, only UNR is as old a Rebel rival as Hawai'i -- both schools first played UNLV in 1969, which was just the second year of the Rebel program ... UNLV has four players who graduated from Aloha State high schools: QB Cameron Friel (Kailua HS), LBs Blesyng Alualu-Tuiolemotu (Campbell HS) and Kamuela Kaiaihue (Roosevelt HS) and DB Kela Moore (Ewa Beach HS) ... UH HC Timmy Chang faced UNLV twice as a record-setting QB for the Warriors, throwing for a combined 716 yards but losing both times to the Rebels (2000 and 2003) ...
