LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) – UNLV women's basketball has signed six new Lady Rebels for the 2026-27 season, head coach
Lindy La Rocque announced today.
The crew - Ava Bergeson, Jayla Constant, Arianna Davis, Keonni Lewis, Terri'A Russell and Tristan Williams marks the fifth recruiting class for La Rocque.
"This is arguably our best recruiting class at UNLV in my tenure. We have every skill set covered. I give all the credit to my incredible coaches for working their tails off to put this group together," said La Rocque. "We are eager to welcome them to Las Vegas and join our Lady Rebel family. What I can tell you about all of them is that they are great basketball players, they fit our culture of excellence on and off the court, and are young women that our community and fans are going to be excited about investing in."
Ava Bergeson | 6-0 | Forward | La Salle Catholic College Preparatory | Portland, Oregon
Bergeson, a 6-foot forward is the reigning 2024-25 NWOC Player of the Year at La Salle Catholic College Preparatory. Her junior season, she averaged a double-double of 14.9 points per game and 10.8 rebounds per game. She also averaged 3.9 assists, 2.3 blocks and 2.8 steals for the Falcons. In her freshman year, she started on varsity with an average of 9.7 points per game, 7.9 rebounds per game, 4.0 assists per game, 2.2 blocks and 2.1 steals. Bergeson was named the Moda Health Player of the Game during the state semi-finals where she and the Falcons claimed third. She capped her freshman campaign with an All-NOWC honorable mention nod. Her sophomore season, she picked up first-team All-League honors after averaging a double-double of 18.7 points per game and 11.8 rebounds per game. Last season for La Salle Catholic College Prep, Bergeson reached the 500+ career rebounds mark and 1,000+ career points mark. She also collected All-State 5A second team honors her junior year.
La Rocque: "Ava is a forward with an elite shooting ability. She is an extreme competitor and has shown incredible enthusiasm and loyalty to our program since the beginning of her recruitment."
Jayla Constant | 5-10 | Guard | Putnam City North HS | Oklahoma City, Oklahoma
Constant is a 5-foot-10 guard who is ranked among ESPN Top 100 recruits at 88th in the nation and a four-star prospect. As a junior, Constant played at Grind Prep where she tallied 12 points per game and 2.5 assists per game. As a sophomore, she helped Putnam West to its second state title and was named to The Oklahoman's Big All-City third team. She led Putnam West in scoring averaging 14.3 points per game. Constant also dished 4.5 assists per game in her sophomore campaign.
La Rocque: "Jayla is a dynamic point guard that can create for herself and her teammates. She's an aggressive competitor that raises the play of everyone around her and will impact our program in many ways."
Arianna "Slim" Davis | 6-1 | Forward | Lancaster HS | Dallas, Texas
Davis, a 6-foot-1 forward was named the 2023-24 6A D2 Offensive Player of the Year and MVP. Additionally her sophomore season, she was named to the 6A D2 All-tournament team. In her freshman campaign she earned the league's Newcomer of the Year accolade. As a junior at Lancaster High School, Davis averaged 10.3 points per game and 5.5 rebounds per game.
La Rocque: "Slim is an exceptional athlete that can impact the game on both sides of the floor. Her energy and motor to rebound, defend, and be aggressive will elevate our program."
Keonni "Bubbles" Lewis | 5-7 | Point Guard | Democracy Prep, The Agassi Campus | Las Vegas, Nevada
Lewis is a 5-foot-7 who is ranked among ESPN Top 100 recruits at 85th in the nation and a four-star prospect. She led Democracy Prep to a 2023 2A South Championship while she averaged 20.1 points per game. As a junior, she was the second-leading scorer for the Knights with 12.9 points per game and led the squad in steals with 4.7 per game.
La Rocque: "Keonni is a premier local talent that was a top priority to keep home in Las Vegas! A point guard that has all of the intangible qualities to lead, facilitate, and command the floor."
Terri'A Russell | 6-1 | Forward | Oakland Technical HS | Oakland, California
Russell, a 6-foot-1 forward, has helped Oakland Technical High School to three consecutive Oakland Athletic League championships and a 2023 CIF D1 State Championship. She is a two-time West Coast Jamboree All-Tournament selection, a two-time Mercury News Female Athlete of the Week, named to the Cal-Hi Sports State Athlete of the Week and NorCal Player of the Week. In addition, she was named the ScoreBook Live Northern California Girls Basketball Athlete of the Week. During the 2024-25 season, Russell averaged 17.7 points per game. In her junior year, Russell averaged 15.4 points per game and in 22-23 averaged 7.2 points per game.
La Rocque: "Terri'A is a versatile forward with great length and a skillset to play inside and on the perimeter. Her work ethic and leadership were qualities we identified early in her recruitment that we knew we had to have in our program."
Tristan Williams | 5-8 | Guard | Laurel School | Cleveland, Ohio
Williams, a 5-foot-8 guard from Cleveland, Ohio was named the 2024-25 OSHAA Division 4 Player of the Year and Northlake District Player of the Year. During her junior year, she averaged 23 points per game, 8.4 rebounds per game and 3 steals, which earned her a spot on the All-State first team. She helped the Laurel School to a 2023 Regional championship, and back-to-back second place finishes in Division 2 and 4. Outside of her high school career, Williams played for Legends U (Power 24) and won the 16U National championship in 2024 and 17U National championship in 2025. She was named to the Power 24 all-second team in 2025.
