LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) – Nearly 30 current and former UNLV student-athletes are eligible to take part in this week's annual Winter Commencement Ceremonies at the Thomas & Mack Center.
Undergraduates will be recognized in ceremonies on Wednesday while masters and doctoral grads are taking part in their ceremony Tuesday – all led by UNLV Interim President Dr. Chris Heavey.
As part of the celebration, the UNLV Athletics Department hosted its annual Senior Send-Off reception for graduates and their families Tuesday morning at the Thomas & Mack Center. No less than 10 current and former football players were part of the list.
Some of the Class of 2025 winter graduates have remaining eligibility and will compete for their respective teams again next season while pursuing either a master's or second bachelor's degree.
UNLV expects to award over 2,300 degrees during its fall 2025 commencement at the Thomas & Mack Center.
Class of 2025 graduates hail from 29 states/U.S. territories and 37 countries. The graduating class ranges in age from 19 to 77 – with an average age of 27. About half of all students are the first in their family to earn a degree. Since 1964, UNLV has awarded more than 186,000 degrees to over 151,000 alumni.
