LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) – UNLV women's volleyball setter Kamryn Scroggins was named the Raising Cane's Outstanding Rebel of the Week, the school announced Thursday.

Scroggins earns the honor for the first time and the first for a volleyball player for the 2026-27 academic year.

The award goes to the student-athlete who turned in the best individual performance during the previous week of competition from Monday through Sunday as voted on by the UNLV Athletics Strategic Communications department.

Hailing from Pearland, Texas, Scroggins was a setup machine across an undefeated 3-0 weekend slate for UNLV. The first-year Rebel averaged 8.83 assists per set and 2.92 digs per set, while collecting 12 kills, seven service aces and five block assists.

Scroggins totaled 30 assists in back-to-back matches, including in a sweep of Southeastern Louisiana and a 3-1 defeat of UC Irvine, during which she also racked up a season-high 20 digs. In a five-set victory over UC San Diego, the setter closed with 13 digs and a season-best 46 assists for her fifth double-double of 2026.
