LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) – UNLV men's soccer senior goalkeeper Hugo Lemos was named the Raising Cane's Outstanding Rebel of the Week, the school announced Thursday.

Lemos is the first Rebel to receive the honor for the 2026-27 academic year.

The award goes to the student-athlete who turned in the best individual performance during the previous week of competition from Monday through Sunday as voted on by the UNLV Athletics Strategic Communications department.

Hailing from A Coruna, Spain, Lemos anchored UNLV in net to a 1-1 week. He finished with eight total saves, an .800 save percentage and a 1.00 goals-against average across the two matches. 

In a 2-1 win over CSU Bakersfield, Lemos reeled in six saves and dished out an assist on senior forward Nick Legendre's goal. Against then-No. 19/25 Kansas City, he brought in two saves.

A culmination of both performances earned the veteran keeper Mountain West Defensive Player of the Week recognition.
