The sophomore forward tallied three goals during a 2-0 week for the Scarlet & Gray

LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) – UNLV sophomore forward Maxim Scordo was named the Raising Cane's Outstanding Rebel of the Week, the school announced Thursday.

Scordo becomes the second different men's soccer player to earn the award for the 2026-27 academic year.

The award goes to the student-athlete who turned in the best individual performance during the previous week of competition from Monday through Sunday as voted on by the UNLV Athletics Strategic Communications department.

A native of Newport Beach, California, Scordo's three goals across two matches aided the Rebels in their 2-0 week, notching wins over San José State and Air Force. The striker tallied the game-winner in a 2-1 home victory over the Spartans and registered a first-half brace in a 5-1 road triumph against the Falcons.

With six points across the two victories, Scordo sits in sole possession of first place for most points (16) and most points per game in the Mountain West (1.45). His efforts also earned him Mountain West Offensive Player of the Week honors for the third time this season.
