PEORIA, Ariz. (UNLVRebels.com) – The UNLV women's golf team finds itself in third place after shooting a 10-under 566 through Sunday's opening two rounds of Wisconsin's Westbrook Invitational at Westbrook Village Golf Club (Par 72, 6,248 yards).
Leading the Rebel scorecard, senior
Toa Yokoyama sits in a tie for fifth at 6-under for the day. Joining the Scarlet & Gray leader in the individual top 30 are freshman
Amber Chen (-3) in a tie for 15th along with seniors
Mayumi Umezu (-1) in a tie for 21st and
McKenzi Hall (E) in a tie for 27th.
Heading into the final round, the Rebels chase day-one team leader Kansas - which posted a 26-under 550 - and Kansas State (-11) in second. The Jayhawks' Lauren Clark also holds the individual lead at 12-under through two rounds.
