RANCHO MIRAGE, Calif. (UNLVRebels.com) – After recording first-round even-par 72 scorecards, UNLV women's golf senior Toa Yokoyama and sophomore Zi Yu Foong ended Tuesday in a tie for fifth at the Credit Union 1 Mountain West Championship on the Dinah Shore Tournament Course at Mission Hills Country Club (Par 72, 6,286 yards).

REBEL ROUNDUP: Giving the Rebels four players in the top 25 alongside Yokoyama (E) and Foong (E), senior McKenzi Hall (+1) is tied for 12th and senior Hina Matsui (+3) follows in a tie for 21st. Senior Mayumi Umezu (+6) joins them in the lineup at 35th.

LEADERBOARD: In third place through 18 holes, the Rebels (+4) are four shots off the lead held by UNR at even-par 288 and within one shot of San Jose State (+3) in second. Taking the day-one individual lead was SJSU's Lucia Lopez Ortega at 3-under 69.
