Mayumi Umezu was tabbed the Mountain West Women's Golfer of the Week, the league office announced Monday. This marks her first career MW weekly honor and the fourth time a Rebel has received the recognition this season.
Hailing from Waimea, Hawai'i, Umezu led the Rebels to a second-place finish to close the regular season at the Cowgirl Classic with an individual second-place finish. She posted a 1-under 215 for the tournament, finishing with back-to-back par-or-better rounds after a second-round even-par 72 and final-round 2-under 70.
Umezu's performance gave the Scarlet & Gray its sixth top-2 finish during the 2024-25 campaign.
