LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) – The UNLV women's golf team collected a haul of 2024-25 Mountain West awards as seniors Toa Yokoyama, Mayumi Umezu and McKenzi Hall earned All-Conference selections and Amy Bush-Herzer was named Coach of the Year. Yokoyama and Umezu grabbed All-MW first-team nods, while Hall made the second-team.

"I couldn't be more proud of Toa, Mayumi, and McKenzi," said Bush-Herzer. "Their dedication, talent, and hard work throughout the season have been exceptional, and this honor is truly well-deserved. They represent the best of UNLV Women's Golf, both on and off the course. Their achievements are a testament to their commitment and our team's collective efforts."

Hailing from Tokyo, Japan, Yokoyama led the Mountain West in three categories with a career-best 72.15 scoring average, five top-5 finishes and six top-10 finishes. The two-time All-MW honoree's best finishes included a second-place outing at Wisconsin's Westbrook Invitational and top-3 efforts on three occasions  (MW Championship; San Diego State Classic; UNM's Dick McGuire Invitational). She also shot both a career-low tournament score of 12-under 204 and a career-low-matching round of 6-under 66 twice at Wisconsin's event.

Umezu, who is from Waimea, Hawai'i, ranked second in the MW with a career-best 72.33 scoring average to go along with two top-5 and four top-10 finishes. During the 2024-25 campaign, she compiled a second-place finish at the Wyoming Cowgirl Classic in the spring and placed in the Scarlet & Gray's team win at Denver's Ron Moore Intercollegiate. Umezu also delivered a career-best 54-hole score of 9-under 207 at Denver and a season-low round of 8-under 68 twice (Moore Intercollegiate; Jim West Challenge) on the year.

A Las Vegas product out of Centennial High School and Delta Academy, Hall also sat among the top 10 in the MW in scoring average (73.67) and had two top-5 finishes. Mirroring her counterparts' top performances, she picked up runner-up honors at Texas State's Jim West Challenge and added a fifth-place outing at Texas Tech's Red Raider Invitational. She tallied a career-low-tying tournament score of 9-under 207 at Texas State, a season-low round of 6-under 66 twice (Jim West Challenge;Westbrook Invitational) and made a pivotal 40-foot birdie putt on the Rebels' conference-title clinching playoff hole at the MW Championship.

Bush-Herzer received the distinction as the league's coach of the year for the fourth time in her career. This season, she guided the program to its eighth MW team title overall and the fifth in her 14 years at UNLV as it won the conference championship's historic first playoff. Additionally, Bush-Herzer's Rebels have posted two victories, seven top-2 team finishes along with the program single-round record of 20-under 268 at the Westbrook Invitational.
