Bush-Herzer Placed On WGCA National Coach Of The Year Watch List

The Mountain West Coach of the Year has guided the Rebels to the MW title and their first trip to the NCAA Championships since 2015

LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) – UNLV women's golf head coach Amy Bush-Herzer has been placed on the watch list for the 2024-25 Division I Jackie Steinmann WGCA National Coach of the Year Presented by Golf Pride, the WGCA announced Tuesday. The award recipient will be announced after the upcoming NCAA Championships.

Recognized as the highest annual coaching honor in women's collegiate golf, the Jackie Steinmann WGCA National Coach of the Year Presented by Golf Pride is awarded annually to the top coach in Division I, II III and NAIA women's golf.

In her 14th year at the helm of the UNLV women's golf program, Bush-Herzer garnered Mountain West Coach of the Year accolades for the fourth time in her career. This season, she has guided the Scarlet & Gray to its first NCAA Championships berth since 2015, as well as its eighth MW team title overall and the fifth of her tenure by winning the league event's historic first playoff. Additionally, Bush-Herzer's Rebels have posted two victories, seven top-2 team finishes along with the program single-round record of 20-under 268 at the Westbrook Invitational.

Along with the on-course success, Bush-Herzer led the charge in the opening of the team's state-of-the-art facility, the UNLV Women's Golf Excellence Center, which is housed at Las Vegas Country Club.

UP NEXT: The Rebels will begin play at the NCAA Championships on Friday, May 16, at Omni La Costa Resort & Spa in Carlsbad, California.
