LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) – A department-record 102 current and former UNLV student-athletes, including 20 from Rebel football, are eligible to take part in this weekend's Spring Commencement Ceremonies at the Thomas & Mack Center.
Masters and doctoral grads are lining up for their ceremony evening Friday while undergraduates will be recognized in two ceremonies on Saturday – all led by UNLV President Chris Heavey.
As part of the celebration, the UNLV Athletics Department and Director of Athletics
Erick Harper hosted the annual Senior Send-Off reception for graduates and their families Friday morning at the Thomas & Mack Center.
Some of the Class of 2025 spring graduates have remaining eligibility and will compete for their respective teams again next season while pursuing either a master's or second bachelor's degree.
Overall, the estimated 3,500 graduates in the Class of 2025 come from 36 states and 50 countries. They range in age from 17 to 78, with 66% coming from ethnically diverse backgrounds.
Since 1964, the UNLV has awarded 183,00 degrees.
