UNLV Football's Quarter-Century Team Revealed

LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) – As this year's undefeated Rebels prepare for Saturday's game at Wyoming after an off week, the UNLV Football Quarter-Century Team has been fully revealed.

Rebels who played at least one season between 2000 and 2024 were eligible for the Quarter-Century Team. The 27 players included were chosen by a select committee made up of longtime media and staffers.

The team is made up of five offensive linemen, two wide receivers, three running backs, one tight end and two quarterbacks because voting for that final position was too close to call. Defensively, there are three linemen, four linebackers, two safeties and two cornerbacks. The team is rounded out by one kicker, one punter and one return man.

The UNLV Football Quarter-Century Team includes seven All-Americans, seven Mountain West Players of the Year and a dozen players who appeared in at least one NFL regular-season game. Four members are already members of the UNLV Athletics Hall of Fame, which players are not even eligible for until 10 years after concluding their Rebel career. Two players (quarterback Hajj-Malik Williams and record-smashing kicker Jose Pizano) made a big enough impact in just one season at UNLV to be included, while one – all-time leading rusher Charles Williams -- lettered five times at the school because of the competing during the Covid year in 2020, which did not count against players' eligibility. In addition, three members of the team were local products and all played defense – DB Jamaal Brimmer (Durango High School), DL Leon Moore (Rancho) and DL Mike Hughes Jr. (Palo Verde).

UNLV is next at home vs. Air Force on October 11 for Homecoming at 12:30 p.m. Fans can still take advantage of the recently launched Showtime Deal which, for only $66, allows fans to choose any three of the four remaining home games at Allegiant Stadium, with seating located on the north 200-level, including access to the Coors Light Landing.

The Showtime Deal can be purchased online at UNLVtickets.com. In addition to this plan, there are multiple offers available to catch the Rebels this season. UNLV alumni and faculty/staff have access to a special discount on Homecoming game tickets and all fans can take advantage of the Kids Day special for Nov. 1 against New Mexico, with tickets as low as $23.
