21 Jump Feat: Brown Picks Up Another MW Player Of The Week

Shelbee Brown collected a season-high in both points and rebounds with 21 a piece at Utah State

LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) – UNLV's Shelbee Brown has been named Old Trapper Mountain West Player of the Week for the third time this season, the league announced today. This marks the sixth weekly accolade for the Lady Rebels this season.

The Memphis, Tennessee native led the Scarlet & Gray to a 71-60 victory at Utah State in the final trip to Logan, Utah with a season-high in both points and rebounds with 21 a piece. The 6-foot forward shot 7-foot-14 (.500) from the field and was 7-for-9 (.778) from the charity stripe. Of Brown's 21 rebounds, nine were huge offensive boards that she scored seven points off of. The last time a Lady Rebel brought down 21 boards was back in 2020 by Rodjanae Wade versus San Jose State on March 2, 2020. She additionally led UNLV with three steals against the Aggies.

UNLV will be back at The Pavilion for the next two Mountain West contests, first hosting Wyoming on Wednesday, Feb. 11 at 6:30 p.m.
