LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) - UNLV hits the road for the second time this outdoor season for a trip to Fullerton, California, for the Ben Brown Invite. The Rebels will compete Thursday and Friday at the meet being held at the Titan Track Complex.
The majority of the meet's slate takes place Friday; however, UNLV has five entries in the long jump - Gabby Goodgames, Jada Lujan, Kayli Middleton, Juliana Roberson, Mya Wiley (2:30 pm) and one entry in the hammer throw - Amaya Mitchell-Howard (12:30 pm) on Friday. Saturday kicks off at 12 pm with the discus throw, while the track action starts at 11:10 am with the 4x100m relay. In total, the Scarlet & Gray will see 31 of its own compete this week in the Golden State, while six Rebels (Lauren Brown, Kenley Gowdy, Alyssa Holmes, Victoria Perrow, Mikah Scott, Wiley) make their debuts this week.
The Rebels opened their outdoor campaign last week with Sophia Clark and Roxene Simpson competing at the Beach Opener, which resulted in Simpson taking second in the discus throw, while Clark placed ninth overall.
