MARICOPA, Ariz. (UNLVRebels.com) – All four Rebel scorers shot par or better to place the UNLV men's golf team in a tie for sixth Tuesday at the Wyoming Cowboy Classic at Ak-Chin Southern Dunes Golf Club (par 72, 7,330 yards).
Due to darkness, only 31 holes of the scheduled 36 holes were played before second-round play halted.
REBEL ROUNDUP: As it stands, senior
Trevor Lewis, who shot a first-round 4-under 68, leads the Rebel scorecard (-10) in a tie for fifth at 8-under. Joining him in the scoring are seniors
Wyatt Plattner and
Brett Sawaia in a tie for 37th at 1-under, as well as junior
Zach Little in a tie for 52nd at even par. Also competing, junior
Ryan Abuan (+14) sits tied for 126th and freshman Aaron van Hauwe (+4) as an individual stands tied for 89th.
DAY-ONE LEADERS: USC took the day-one lead at 22-under, while four players locked into a tie for the individual lead at 9-under.
UP NEXT: With the updated tournament schedule, the Rebels will play the final holes of the second round starting at 7:15 a.m. PT on Wednesday with continuous play through the final round.
