Zi Yu Foong's second-round 1-under 71, UNLV women's golf remained in contention within two shots of the lead after Wednesday's second round of the Credit Union 1 Mountain West Championship on the Dinah Shore Tournament Course at Mission Hills Country Club (Par 72, 6,286 yards).
REBEL ROUNDUP: Foong notched her second straight par-or-better round to sit tied for fourth at 1-under through 36 holes. Freshman
Lana Yamagata (+1) follows her Rebel counterpart among the top 10 in sixth after a 1-over 73 day.
Behind Foong and Yamagata in the lineup, the Scarlet & Gray sees sophomore
Amber Chen (+3) in a tie for 13th, freshman
Demi Du (+7) in a tie for 27th and junior
Jane Huang (+14) in a tie for 42nd.
DAY-TWO LEADERBOARD: The Rebels (+10) are in third going into the MW event's last day, chasing day-two leader Grand Canyon at 8-under and UNR in second at 9-under. Boise State's Leia Chung overtook the individual lead at 7-under.
