LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) - The UNLV cross country team returns to the Golden State for its second meet of the season with a trip to Riverside, California, for the UC Riverside Invitational. The four-race meet at UCR's Ag Ops Course commences will see the Rebels kick things off with the women's 6K at 7:15 am.

UNLV will send the same eight student-athletes to the Inland Empire as they did in the season opener. The Scarlet & Gray will be represented Saturday by senior Alana Sangprasit, junior Breanna Blanks, sophomore Reese Lebaron and freshmen Anya Gorely, Sophie Kellogg, Peyton Pilling, Frankie Scotello and Avery Smith.

In the season-opening 6K race two weeks ago, UNLV was paced by freshman Sophie Kellogg, who finished 16th overall in a time of 21:47.3. Fellow freshman Anya Gorely ran a 21:52.0 to finish 23rd overall. Freshman Peyton Pilling rounded out the top top three Rebels with a 22:12.2. Junior Breanna Blanks (22:36.9), freshman Frankie Scotello (23:05.2), freshman Avery Smith (23:26.0), Alana Sangprasit (23:31.5) and Reese LeBaron (24:59.3) also represented the Scarlet & Gray.

2026 SCHEDULE: The Rebels will compete in five meets before their participation in the Mountain West Championships and the NCAA postseason. Next week, the team will return home for the Duel In The Desert (September 25) at Floyd Lamb Park. The Scarlet & Gray will hit the road in the Golden State for a pair of meets at The Master's University Invite (6K) on October 3 in Santa Clarita followed by the Santa Clara hosted Bronco Invite on October 17 (6K) in Sunnyvale. UNLV will venture out north for the Mountain West Championships (6K) scheduled to take place in Reno, Nevada at Washoe Golf Course on October 30. Additionally, the NCAA will hold its West Regional (6K) in Sacramento, California on November 13.
