Biography
Howie Fleming Jr. is a is a 6-foot-5-inch, 210-pound guard, originally from Louisville, Kentucky, who transferred to UNLV from UTRGV (Texas-Rio Grande Valley) where he played as a redshirt junior during the 2024-25 season. He averaged 12.3 points, 6.4 rebounds and 2.4 assists per game last season, while making 56% of his shots, including 42% on 3-pointers. He scored in double figures in 20 games, including five with double-doubles.
Fleming Jr. began his college career at Illinois State, where he played for two years, and then played a season at Winthrop before attending UTRGV. Over his career, he has played in 95 games, making 65 starts, and has averaged 12.5 ppg.
He is a 2019 graduate of Louisville Male High School, where he was named second team all-state after averaging 15.8 points and 7.0 rebounds per game as a senior. He led his team to the Kentucky High School state semifinals before the season was halted because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
