Volleyball Defeats New Mexico In Regular Season Finale

LAS VEGAS - Angie Sylvas had a match-high 28 kills and added 13 digs as the UNLV volleyball team defeated New Mexico volleyball 15-12, 15-13, 15-12, in both team's Mountain West Conference regular season finale at Lied Gymnasium Saturday.

UNLV (12-13, 4-10 MWC) was assisted in the win by Jeanette Graves' 19 kills and 12 digs and Danielle Gerlach's 13 kills and 12 digs. Ana Ramos also added 13 digs for the Rebels. Graves led all players in blocks with 7. The win was UNLV's third straight.

New Mexico (10-21, 5-9 MWC) was led by Micaela Conley's 17 kills.

UNLV will now travel to Provo, Utah, for the Mountain West Conference Tournament. All eight MWC schools are invited to the single-elimination tournament which begins on Wednesday, Nov. 24 and concludes on Saturday, Nov. 27. Pairings will be announced on Sunday, Nov. 21.
