EL PASO, Texas - UNLV senior Michael Kirk shot a final-round one-over-par 72 to finish in eighth place at the 24-person Savane College All-America Golf Classic played at the par 71, 6,781-yard El Paso County Club Tuesday.
Kirk (74-70-72-216) and fellow senior Jeremy Anderson (73-79-73-225) were the only Rebels competing. Anderson tied for 17th.
Georgia Tech's Matt Kuchar (69-67-72-208) finished five-under par to win the 25-year old event. Kuchar won on the third hole of a playoff against BYU's Andy Miller (67-74-67-208). It was only the second time in the tournament's history that three holes were needed to decide a playoff.
