Zach Little led the UNLV men's golf team with a top-15 finish after play concluded Tuesday at the Michael A. Marino Classic hosted by Coastal Carolina at Dunes Golf and Beach Club (par 72, 7,370 yards).
REBEL ROUNDUP: Little tied for 15th at 2-under 214 (70-71-73) for the tournament to notch his fourth consecutive top-15 performance. Adding another top 30 for the Rebels, senior
Trevor Lewis (+3) tied for 30th. Also competing in the lineup, senior
Brett Sawaia (+5) tied for 40th for his personal season-best finish, junior
Mason Snyder (+19) finished 87th and junior
Ryan Abuan (+29) wrapped up the event in 90th.
Playing as an individual, freshman Aaron van Hauwe (+6) tied for 48th.
CHAMPIONS: NC State won the team title at 15-under 849 through 54 holes. The host Chanticleers' Max Bengsston and Louisville's Cooper Claycomed shared individual medalist honors at 10-under 206.
As a team, UNLV (+25) climbed up one spot on the final day into 15th place.
UP NEXT: The Rebels have two more regular season events on their schedule, starting with the Wyoming Cowboy Classic from March 31-April 1 in Maricopa, Arizona.
